How does watertight expense management work?
By linking prepaid payment cards to smart spending software, you can make your expense management watertight. This facilitates tight budgeting and you always have the latest transaction data at hand. If an employee has to make unplanned expenses, the finance team can increase the balance of a payment card in seconds.
In the Card Management System, you set your own cost structure and approval steps. In this way, you ensure improved governance and you can link the expenses to the accounts at any time. This does not only provide better control over business expenditure, but also shortens the administrative processing time.
What kind of payment card should I choose?
SimpledCard offers both Maestro and Mastercard cards. The choice or combination of the debit card(s) depends on the situation within your organization. Let our sales team advise you and determine the best solution for your organization together.
Note: Primary cardholder must be aged 18 or over.
What languages are supported by SimpledCard?
The mobile app and the Card Management System are available in English, German and Dutch.
Can SimpledCard integrate with my ERP or accounting system?
Yes, there are many options for this. We offer various API integrations, CSV files and custom reports. Read more about our software integrations.

Is SimpledCard safe?
Security is crucial to SimpledCard. We are applying the same level of supervision and regulation as you are used to from regular banks and other payment card providers.

How does SimpledCard protect my data?
We are committed to the integrity of personal data. All data is stored in encrypted form on secure servers. We comply with the strict rules for data storage set by the European Central Bank and Mastercard.
We regard it as our duty to keep customer data secure at all times. Please see our full privacy policy for more details.
Where are my funds?
All funds are securely held in a third party account, in strict compliance with applicable European rules and regulations. The regulator and supervisor check at all times whether the funds are safe.
The trust account is used exclusively to pay for business expenses via Mastercard. SimpledCard cannot access the funds themselves and can only view transactions. We can only view the transaction information to make them available to you in the Card Management System.
What is 3D Secure?
3D Secure (also known as ‘Mastercard SecureCode’, ‘Identity Check’ and ‘Verified by Visa’) is a standard which helps to reduce fraud and provide extra security to your online payments. Authentication is the process by which you identify yourself by sharing secure information that is available only to you.
What is the use of Authentication?
Authentication provides an additional layer of security for online transactions, making it harder for fraudsters to gain access to your payment details.
Is 3D Secure active on my card?
Yes, your card has been enrolled in Mastercard SecureCode (3DS) so that wherever you see the Mastercard SecureCode logo online, your card number will automatically be recognised during checkout. Your card provider is contacted during checkout to confirm your identity as the genuine cardholder.
How does the SimpledCard implementation process work?
After contract agreement, we review a number of required company and personal data. This will approximately take one working day.
Our support team then will personally guide you during one or more implementation meetings (normally +/- 1 hour) to support the further roll out within your organization. The entire duration depends on your needs and organisational structure. We always provide the right support.

What is the process for Authentication?
When you make an online payment on a website that supports 3D Secure, you will receive a request via the app on your mobile device or via the Card Management System on your desktop to verify your identity via pin code or biometric data, such as fingerprint scan or facial recognition.
For customers
I can’t log in anymore. What should I do?
Go to https://app.simpledcard.com and press the button forgot password. Enter your email address and you will receive an email to reset your password.
You will receive the email within 5 minutes. Haven’t received an email after 5 minutes? Please try again and check if the correct email address has been entered.
Where can I retrieve my PIN?
After logging in, the PIN can easily be retrieved via the mobile app or in the personal environment in the CMS. To do so, please view the details of the respective card.
- Go to the tab cards in the centre of the screen and select the respective card;
- Press details;
At card PIN, press the blue button show.
My card has been stolen/is lost. What should I do?
Immediately block the payment card that is (possibly) lost or stolen in the mobile app or via the Card Management System.
- Go to the tab cards in the centre of the screen and select the respective card;
- Press details;
- For temporarily blocking the card, slide the button to the right so that it turns green.
Get in touch with your manager and ask for the correct procedure for this situation.
Can I unblock a (temporarily) blocked payment card?
Yes, this is possible. As a cardholder, you can unblock a blocked card in the app.
- Go to the tab cards in the centre of the screen and select the respective card;
- Press details ;
- For temporarily blocking the card, slide the button to the right so that it turns green.
Only when a user within the organisation has permanently destroyed the card, this cannot be undone. In this case, please contact our support team.
What should I do in case of (suspected) fraud?
Immediately block the payment card that may be involved in fraud.
- Go to the tab cards in the centre of the screen and select the respective card;
- Press details ;
- To “block the card temporarily”, slide the button to the right so that it turns green.
